Apple Macintosh IBook

The Apple Macintosh iBook is a well known line of laptop computers that are presently obsolete. They were sold by the famous Apple Incorporate from the year 1999 till 2006. This series of laptops launched by Apple had a target to achieve and it aimed to capture the attention of both the education as well as the consumer markets. This laptop series came with lower specifications as well as prices than the PowerBook which was Apple's higher range of laptops both in the terms of specifications as well as in price.

A total of three designs were created for the iBook and the first and foremost design was that of a "Clamshell" and this particular design was quite a bit different from that of the conventionally available laptops of that time. It had a peculiar as well as a distinct shape and came in several bright hues. The computer also had a handle and came with a network that was wireless.

A couple of years later the company decided to launch a second type that made the first type quite obsolete and was more of a rectangular shape than its predecessor. The October of 2003 saw the launch of a third and final design that had a slot-loading drive and also came with a PowerPC G4.

Apple replaced the iBook completely with the Macbook in the month of May 2006.
